Oh fuck yeah.. thanks for getting one of these.. I was just telling andy to order a bunch of those as the cheap ass bastards on these forums will splooge them selves when they see a $350 Starlight Dahua PTZ..

So long Huisun/Sunba and all the rest of trash, if your a cheap ass and you cant afford a $350 Dahua 25x then you dont need a damn PTZ in the first place.

Cant wait to see some samples and video! Dahua is fucking crushing the competition right now.. Ive named this fine camera the Lite Black Face PTZ.. must be the results of a Black Face PTZ and a White Face PTZ hooking up and making a baby camera :p

feel a lil dirty after watching that video lol

it seems significantly slower than my black face PTZ, but I expected that from spec sheet.. still is very respectable and ive seen much slower, but obviously not a speed ptz.. anyone looking to hardwire sensors up to this or tie it into a home automation system should take that into consideration.. fast response is going to be required to catch someone opening your mailbox or the'll already be gone unless the travel distance is very short.

For the price its astounding quality and specs.. nobody is going to beat this when it comes to how much you get for as little as you have to give.

ah, lets see the full zoom down the street and this thing moving between presets (thats full speed) at a 180 degree offset

ah thats alot quicker, good.. seems like the slow part here is the zoom but it does a great job of keeping focus as its changing the zoom.. like crazy good job, that caught me off guard.. this thing either has some very high end optics that maintain focus while zooming (movie camera grade optics) or the focus is just damn fast, I think its doing it on the fly and is very fast indeed.

@nayr

Between this PTZ and the SD59225T-HNI, do you think the S/N Ratio More than 50dB vs More than 55dB(every 3db signal doubles right?) is worth the extra $150? I'm in que for a SD59225T-HNI, since I didn't even know the one mentioned above even existed.

That alone is not worth $150, but combined with faster motors, sd card storage, and intelligent features it may or may not be, thats going to be a personal decision.

for me personally; I'll be passing on this PTZ and getting an intelligent one.. though I thought about buying one, reviewing it and then selling it on here just to review it and show it off to the gang; but thats no longer needed really since @ldasilva took the plunge for us.. I was fully confident it'd be a great camera and I could put it up for sale without issue.

yes there is some intelligent features missing on this camera i new that going in if you need/want those intelligent features you should not get the lite model

for most residential needs the lite black face starlight ptz here will be the best ptz within reach, and by a long shot.. I like that it has a safety cable on it, perfect for DIY installers whom might not feel all that steady on a ladder.

if a $500-$600 Black Face PTZ would have got your balls chopped by the old lady; then perhaps this badass ptz will mend the gap.

I still want this one SD59230U-HNI | Dahua Technology unless there is one coming in 2017 that I should wait for lol and I need more turrets now because they are damn sick and I love the form factor.
