Video events record perfectly but live view is 1 frame every 5-7 seconds

I may just not understand how the software works. On camera view it's a single frame every 5 seconds, but video events record fine. Is it possible to get live video to be like the recordings?

Only 2 cameras connected to blue iris right now. Hikvision DS-2CD2042WD-I

Brand new server with skylake i7, 32gb ram, SSD

Live video works great in Hikvision software 4200.

The guide I was following was kind of old so maybe I setup something wrong. If there's a newer guide for hikvision I haven't found it yet.

Welcome to the forum..let me guess, you are logging in to the pc via windows remote desktop?
If so blue iris options>cameras>video during remote desktop
