Since we have two variations of the v2 cam and we know that loading wrong firmware will immediately brick the camera, then it's best separate the two threads. I don't know if there is a way to tell which combo your camera might have. They switched production to S2L+IMX222 combo after the earthquake on 4/15, but there is nothing else I am aware of that will tell us. So, attached the newest firmware from Jack.

The following firmware is for IMX222, as always update at or own risk if you are 100% sure your v2 camera has IMX222. Uploading the following firmware to a v2 camera with a imx322 sensor will brick it and render it non-functional.

If you successfully updated please do report back when you purchased the camera.

I've also placed an order with Jack a few days ago and he confirmed it will will be IMX322 again.

@klasipca although I am clear on what you have written, I think it would be wise to make the application of this firmware absolutely clear to those with lessor experience by writing something like this...

Perhaps the rest tool is what will tell us the difference. Anyone with recent v2 cams can you run the tool (attached in the first post) and see which chip you have and Main/MC versions for a good measure.

Simply run BatchControl.exe and click Search button

So your #1 might have imx222. Any chance to compare to #2. Firmware versions, IQ (imx222 a bit more grainier), running batch tool to see which chipset it has.

Don't know much about Cantonk. I am dealing with Longse and Amanda usually let's me know if there is a delay.
 
from his screenshot, it looks like bob's #1 and #2 (both 10x) are chip and build consistant with imx322...
his 3x are mixed, tho, if i'm reading that correctly...

you mean in the mail or in the batchcontrol tool?

if the latter, the latest firmware (with Hik-ish UI) might show in this tool,
as I noticed my S500's showing up in Hik's SADP after updating, but not before...

I missed the screenshot, ok looks like both are the same firmware and same as mine with IMX322.

We need @mando209 feedback. As I know for a fact his firmware bricked my camera. @mando209 can you run batch tool and tell us which chipset you have there?

No, he said he upgraded it ok with firmware that Monica sent him, but it bricked my camera, as well as another firmware from Jack which also bricked another cam. Need to find out what @mando209 has in terms of sensor it appears he gotten his about a month ago. It may have been a very short period where they switched to IMX222 and since the production restarted at Sony factory at the end of May, perhaps late June cameras are now with IMX322 again.

June 14 I got mine.will run batch tool later.not At home atm.ordered on the 4th from Monica.

The firmware upgraded fine.seems like the Ptz controls is a bit faster now lol.

Couldn't you just give your seller the camera serial number and have them tell you what chipset your camera have? I notice on camera is a sticker with serial number and also inside the camera on the len itself is a sticker with a barcode and serial number as well too.
