trying to view from hotspot

i'm trying to view remotely from mobile hotspot.ddwrt router is connected to umx hotspot.cam is connected to ddwrt router.with my computer i connect to hotspot.i go into ipchicken to grab umx's ip address and enter that in the hikvision app and it says failed.any ideas on what i'm doing wrong?

straighttalk umx mobile hotspot ip address - 192.168.1.1

ddwrt ip address 192.168.1.2

huisun ptz ip address. 192.168.1.13
port 8000

@mando209 Set your ipv4 dns server to 8.8.8.8 which is googles.
Are you sure your hotspot allows port forwarding? Many dont provide a routerable external ip address. You would need to forward in the hotspot or set it to bridge if possible.

How can I tell if hot spot allows port forwarding?

Only thing I see in the hotspot devices setting is wlan mode= access point.plus two gateway ip's one starts with 75 and other starts with 198

Even if the device has port forward settings it would be meaningless if the carrier does not allow it.
 
Bummer.no they don't.hmm wonder if karma mobile does port forward.

hmmm so now i'm testing something different.huisun ptz and hikvision 2120 cams are conncted to home network(comcast internet) archer c5 router.i connect tablet(android) to hotspot device.i enter ip chicken address(comcast ip) into hikvision 4500 app plus tinycam pro app.the hikvison 2120 cam shows up working in the hikvision app but the huisun ptz does not.huisun ptz says "connection failed" or error code 8200.i enabled upnp and portmapping in the huisun settings which the 2120 cam has enabled to see if that works but it's a no go.both cams in tinycam pro give me error "timeout.check onvif port"

You cant use the same port for both cams
 
Huisun is port 8000 and hik vision is port 8001.server port.

I believe tinycam needs the rtsp port as well. ivms4500 will only need the 8000 media port.
 
so i changed some ports on both cams.now i cnat login into the cams using web browser.tinycam can see them in local lan.how would i log into them in the webpage again?

if you changed the http port you need to add :XX where xx is the port number to the ip address. For example 192.168.1.33:44 where 44 is the port.
 
Thx.eRlier I googled a bit and figured out that part.im getting close to fixing my problem lol :)

can i leave every ip cam's rtsp and http ports the same? when i try to change the hikvision cam to rtsp port 555 tinycam pro gives me an error.but when i put the hik to rtsp 554 i can see it remotely.

You can only leave the same if your router allows you to router say 9595 external to 554 internal. Most do.
