Turkey was sanctioned and the sale of F35 stopped because they bought the Russian S400 air defense system.
But the F35 that saw combat in Iran in pure stealth configuration, (without peace time radar reflecting lens), has been painted by every known radar beam in Iran from Chinese S300 clones, Iranian S300 clones, Russian and chinese warships radar. So now the US has removed the sanctions since it's radar reflection is no longer a secret.
Still Erdogan seems happy, But Turkey ain't gone buy the F35, since they made a F22 clone but the lifting of sanctions means they will get GE engines. Before this they where looking at Ukraine for engines.
Israel gone be bigly mad. Turkey domestic industry is able to surpass Israel miltary tech.

The United States is facing a severe crisis in its F-35 stealth fighter aircraft fleet. Manufacturer Lockheed Martin has delivered at least 6 jets without a radar. This comes after China tightened export rules for rare earth minerals like Samarium, Neodymium and Gallium that are extensively used in F-35 jets. However, the problem is much deeper. The US is upgrading the F-35's radar to the AN/APG 85 which can track stealth jets. This radar is still being made and once it is made will force some changes to the F-35. The radar maker says the first batch of the AESA radar will only be delivered in 2028. Meanwhile, an audit report finds that only 25% of the F-35 fleet is capable of carrying out combat missions.
