IPC-HDW5231R-ZE Rhea V2.800.0000016.0.R.200430 Latest new firmware

OK... was going to update my 2.460.0000.7.R, Build Date: 2017-03-06, but I guess not =)
Mine is not internet connected, it goes via NVR.
Interestingly Dahua site only has v13 listed, no mention of v16.
Now, is there much difference (like new features) between mine (2.460.0000.7.R, Build Date: 2017-03-06) and say V2.800.0000013.0.R.191202?
Where is the best way to get V2.800.0000013.0.R.191202 for Andy supplied IPC-HDW5231R-ZE? On Dahua I see PN/NP versions

I just upload the 20200430 firmware on the 1st page, please download there.
This model will be no further upgrade if no big security issue or big bug found.

thanks, Andy. Is v15 OK to install? v16 seems buggy. Don't want to spend a weekend trying to fix it =)

Andy is there no chance that Dahua can fix the issue where the substreams reset to default after a restart with v16, if that is fixed then it would be the perfect version for me for these cams.

One might reasonably argue some cameras repeatedly spontaneously rebooting themselves, as some have reported with v16, and cameras losing their configurations upon reboot, as I and others have reported with v16, are fairly big bugs

Noted, dahua delete this file from their server, so better to use the April one. I also delete the June one too.
i was searching for a newer firmware, but i noted that in the first post there is a v15 instead of mine : V2.800.0000016.0.R, Build Date: 2020-06-05 .
i don't have any issue with v16, no reboot bugs at all.

Cool, maybe hardware on some old device not work fully with the latest new firmware.

Hello, i am confused which is latest version for this camera?

I am currently on v 2.622

thanks

V2.800.0000015.0.R.200430 is the latest recommended version. There's a link to it on page 1 of this thread.

As usual: Do not update unless there's good reason to do so. (E.g.: Poor or missing functionality, security issue(s) to which your cams may be exposed.)

I also need to install two more cameras, which is now the recommended version similar to this with good night vision

An important upgrade, guys try to upgrade asap.
I have never updated my 5231’s because I didn’t want to fix something that’s not broken and my cams are blocked from the internet at the router.
Is this update still necessary for me? I do not have an NVR.

If they are blocked from Internet, then no need to do any upgrade, the main upgrade is for the security baseline.

Interesting as v13 was last Formal / Official Dahua Firmware directly and officially downloadable from Dahua International website.

But suddenly now v18 (Dated 07 July 2021) is downloadable from Dahua International website directly and in both PN and NP versions as ZiP files (with a couple more additional files in each ZiP) direct from Dahua international website - meaning we can leave behind unofficial firmware's after v13 up to v18 and see if Formally / Officially Manufacturer released Firmware solves the uncontrollable rebooting problem (even with IVS switched off and SD Card removed etc.) - the solution (or excruciating problem) continues (time will tell) at this thread......

Is this Firmware for Camera model IPC-HFW5831E-ZE ? Seems to be the same firmware series as before just a newer generation.

Will this solve the every 33 Hours Camera rebooting problem? From Firmware Version Rhea V2.800.0000016.0.R.200430

Any release notes?

This is beginning to remind me of what Hewlett Packard got up to with everyone's printers with a firmware update that contained a SIX MONTH time delay before delivering the true payload - will try and find the article.
