Zones & Hot Spots

I think I'm phrasing this wrong on my searches, because I can't find anything definitive. But when enabling Use Zones and Hot Spots, do I want to color the area that I want to monitor for movement yellow? Or do I want to use the yellow to block the areas that I don't want to detect for motion?



For instance, in this picture, which zone - A or B - would be detected for motion and which would be ignored?

Yellow is the area for motion, so in above it would be Zone B.

use hotspots very carefully. They will trigger for everything.
