Yes, its a good price. The 2mp is actually better than the 3mp in low light. The image is not any better in the 3mp it simply has a larger vertical field of view.
There are new hikvision 2mp and 4mp WDR cameras that have improved night vision.
The downside to the kit is that you cant get turret style cameras which are superior to the bullets.
 
Fenderman, the turret style bullets you are referring to are the ones that look like a dome without the dome lens? What is the benefit of a turret style camera? At least with that setup I can expand and is better than the simply monitored I previously asked about correct?

As an aside, does anyone use separate ir illuminators such as these? http://www.axis.com/ae/en/products/illuminators/pt-ir-illuminator-kit-a

Well, it appears my timing was good! My system just arrived and I just checked newegg again and the system price just jumped to $799!
