Microsoft Windows Update on my computer on 04-09-25 and now when I'm trying to use Internet Explorer to make camera changes, I'm getting camera views like this:

Same thing happens if I open 192.168.1.108 in Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome. The blackness is not helpful. :(

You probably need to delete Explorer history and the plug-ins and let the camera reload them.
I'll give that a try in a few hours. I'm going outside and do yard work right now. I'll report back later.

Yard work I got people for that..

its windows did you reboot?

I've done all the normal stuff probably ten times. I may download one more browser and see what happens. Otherwise, I'll just ignore the problem for the time being and see what happens. EVERYTHING else on my computer is working fine. :idk:

I'm too cheap to pay someone for yard work. :)

I've rebooted the computer too many times. I always reboot the computer after installing or removing any program, clearing out temporary files, etc.

Done it multiple times; problem still occurs. I had not thought about removing the plug-ins, so that was worth a try. Thanks for the suggestion. I'll keep that in mind in the future.

Have you just tried using Edge, I'm running 24H2 with all the latest updates and all of my WEB5.0 cams work just fine using Edge.

Same problem, plus all the other regular problems using Edge or Chrome to do anything with the cameras. Internet Explorer always works, well, it used to anyway. :banghead:

Is the PTZ on the latest firmware?

Have you tried a cleanup utility like CCleaner on the pc? Sometimes there is more junk around.

The PTZ cameras aren't using the latest firmware. The problem is with all sixteen cameras.

I do use CCleaner. And did use it again when the problem occurred.

I downloaded Pale Moon a few minutes ago and the problem continues. Since the problem is happening with four different browsers, I'm thinking about upgrading the firmware on the NVR to the current version from 2022. Or I just may wait to the next Windows Update and see if the problem goes away. It definitely appears to be some interaction happening on my computer. Aren't I special? :idk:

Look to see if the graphics driver updated and roll it back.

Or roll the Windows update back.
The last graphics driver update occured sometime after March 18, 2025.

I've never done a Windows Update rollback. I fear going backwards on those.

I'm going to just sit still for awhile with the problem. And I will absolutely update this topic.

Was it the 32 bit pale moon you downloaded? 64 bit version won't run 32 bit plugins I'm pretty sure.
Yes, the Pale Moon browser was the 32 bit version that I installed. So far, I like the looks of Pale Moon over Internet Explorer or the absolutely horrible Microsoft Edge and close to absolutely horrible Google Chrome.

I suspect it is an incapability with Windows and the driver.

If you don't want to roll back Windows, rolling back the driver is simple and not of any real risk.

It really is as simple as going into Device Manager and going to Display Adapters and going to the driver and selecting the rollback driver option. Nothing bad will happen. Worse case is you update the driver.
