Last year a WoodPecker almost killed one on my trees making a huge and deep hole and then after I hoped some bird could nest into it and here we are but I had to use remote wifi cam ($20 cheap Digoo M1Q) with USB powerBank (camera is USB powered) enought to stand 24H including with IR ON at night and I changed the lens to a 16mm to get closer view






And here is the "Tourcol foumilier" (French name) a brid with a special tong speclized in ants hunting

I've placed another one, this time it's a Xiaomi Xiaofang (I only "play" with the cheapest cameras to see what they can provide), and guess what ? I now know who stole my strawberries !!!

The magnetic support is perfect ;-)

Those litlle thieves, but I get more pleasure to watch them than eating my strawberries so ... ;-)

But last night a cat paid a visit to the nest ! ... and did nothing, I hope it will not come back.

I built a bird nest with a camera in it earlier this spring and had a visitor for a while but she stopped coming. There are lots of cats in the neighborhood so I don't know whether one got her or she changed her mind for a better location.
