Why two ways to start BI?

I ended up with two ways to start BI on my Win8.1 desktop. I have one icon that has admin privilege and one that does not. I did the install by starting the install as an admin. Everything seems to be running as advertised. I use the admin start option, but just wondered why I ended up with two versions. Significance? Benefits/issues with one or the other?
