I know this worked in a previous version a while ago but something is different....
Now, I'm on the latest stable revision 5.9.9.34 I updated because the previous version ( I think it was .32) didn't produce files either.

Process I used to export a clip:
Select a clip I'd like to export, right click and choose Convert/export
a window pops up.
convert-export.jpg

I select OK and I see a grey icon appear in the upper right corner of the selected clip
That Icon turns green so I presume it means the export is finished.

Navigate to the selected export folder and nothing, no file.
go to the C:\ and search for *.mp4 no file
Search in the Video file drive for mp4 nothing there.
The log has an entry that the selected file was exported.

reboot the PC and try all above again, no joy.
Updated BlueIris to 5.9.9.34 and try again no difference.

I've noticed several other things
"Open folder when finished" is not selectable
No chime when finished
When choosing an "export to:" I cannot choose the video file drive.

I'm sure this is a brain fart thing, but it's turning into a shart.
Thanks for the help!

So I found that the place is touchy lol.

I would look in your Download folder that was the default and might be that you touched something that exported it there. I did 3 to the DL folder and then did one to my own folder that I use for BI backup already..

I checked the download folder but no joy.
I tried redirecting the export to the download folder but no joy.

When I do a C: drive search for .mp4, the exported video does not show up, but the log tells me it was exported.
the D:\ is the video file drive and the mp4 isn't there either.

Maybe I need to contact support...

Do search for bvr. Looks like it's is exporting a .bvr?
I didn't think to do so. I chose mp4 as the output format.

Initially, I had the desktop as the destination of exported files. There are very few icons on the desktop, and no new one's appeared after the export, which started me wondering where they went if the selection was really exported.

Understand what you are saying , I am only going by what I see in what your picture of the Exported file.. As you can see from my exported file it shows that it was mp4.. This is why I meant it was little touchy.. That is because after I setup to export I touched something I don't remember what but the folder changed and some other things as well. I don't remember all that changed just that for sure the folder moved back to Download after i had setup to move onto my backup drive..

I got an email back from Blue Iris support (Ken) that was spot on.
I was attempting to export a video that only had a sub stream, no main stream. The video was from a continuous substream recording and not from a triggered (main stream) file. When I selected "main stream only" for the convert/export there was nothing to export, so BlueIris didn't.
When I chose a video that was a triggered recording and therefore had a mainstream, all is well.

One thing I did notice in the event was that if I right clicked on a video selection on the left side of the main Blue Iris control window and chose "convert/export", the "open folder" at the bottom was grayed out and I could not alter the name of the exported file.
When I double clicked the video selection on the left to bring it to the main view, and then right clicked to convert export, the "open folder" was available and I was able to alter the name of the exported file.

Ken said in his email, that the "play chime" is not appropriate in this context and should not be available.

Thanks for your time in replying.
