Wow-- his mindset was ultimately anti-capitalism, and that "Real Socialism hasn't been tried yet."
He seemed to be unaware of the deep correlations between the absence of Liberty within Socialism and the evil anti-liberty social controls present in Animal Farm and 1984.

Yes .. learning a lot more about Orwell .. which makes his stories even more interesting is that he is basically a democratic socialist according to that video ..

The way I see this all .. you must have a proper balance of power or else .. eventually it will slide into an authoritarian nightmare .. human nature has enough evil .. just witness when Karen's take over HOAs ..

Freedom starts at low levels .. and must start there .. this is why I really dislike HOAs as they allow the creation of small dictatorships ..
