Does anyone know what the "remote log" feature is, on my Dahua camera's? I cannot find any good explanation in the manuals. Might it be used to send log information to a central location? Any pointers how to set this up on Linux?

Looks like a remote syslog option for sending system log data to a remote server that can collect it.

syslog-ng can be used on Linux to act as a syslog server to receive logs from other devices.

Yup, looks like it's remote syslog, that's great! Might be an excellent way to centralize reporting and maybe automate a few things!

I have the IPC-HDBW4431R-AS with Software Version 2.420.0000.22.R, Build Date: 2016-12-09.
And Remote log function is missing, is there is any way to enable it? Like API address or something.
I need this for triggering recording camera IVS to Synology Surv. Station with Node Red.
Thank you.
