after bricking a camera long ago when a bullet was like 1200 bucks I suffer from firmware insecurity, could someone please point me in the right direction?

If you bought from Andy (or you are positive it is not a hacked camera that will brick), here is the latest:

But if you are looking to update just for kicks, I would stay with what is working.
As you know, many of us here don't fix what ain't broke. So if the firmware is not fixing a problem you have, then leave it as is LOL.

I went to that thread and copied the link and when I tried to open it Microsoft said unable to open that link.
