What happened to my gmail notifications?

I have this email alert set up for a few months and worked just fine. All of a sudden about 2 weeks ago, I stopped receiving emails. I went into the configuration, and saw that everything was there where it was supposed to be configured. I retyped over the gmail smtp configuration and hit Save, it say failed to modify.
Any idea what could have messed it up?

There are only 2 options under email encryption: close/SSL.
Also, it can take both SSL/TLS.

It is resolved. Nothing was changed, I just updated the ivms-4200 from version 2.4 to 2.5. I received email afterwards. I am not sure if that's what fixed it. I don't like unknowns. Hikvision provides next to nothing support, but the cameras are of good quality.
