Viofo Bluetooth Remote Control working unreliably

I have just installed a Viofo VS1 dashcam together with the wireless Bluetooth remote control button.

Bluetooth pairing of both devices worked perfectly, but the connection has funny problems.

When I start the car, the button may work ... or not. I do a new pairing and it works on the first press. Some time later it fails again. New pairing ... and so on.

If you got this button, too, how is ist working for you?
Any advice to improve this?

Maybe Carplay on your radio interferes with the dashcam?
Try disabling it on the radio just to see.

I have also contacted Viofo support. They want me to upload a video of the problem.

Why not using wifi option to connect to your dash cam?

@patrocle I don't understand your suggestion. The remote control button does only talk bluetooth (with the camera).

I have the a229pro 3 ch. and i only connect with wifi to see the camera app settings, files, or download them. Everything else is voice control.
The VS1 i am not seen to have bluetooth connectivity in their specs, only wifi.

The VIOFO Bluetooth Remote Control is an accessory for the VS1 and works - as the name already says - via Bluetooth.

Hmm, did even know about that one, it looks that it works with a229 too, may have to get one and give it a try.

Viofo support provided to me Firmware V 1.1_240411 and since then I had no more problem with the remote control.
