I'm using the Blue Iris trial right now, and am blown away how much better this software is than the default that is used by my IP cameras. So, before I pay for the full version, I want to make sure I can get the kinks out.

I've got 2 issues that I need help with ...

On the first day I had Blue Iris running, it recorded several videos (motion detection). So, I had several video files saved. However, yesterday, every time there was an alarm, the recording just appended to the first video of the day. Why is this happening? Is there some setting I inadvertently changed? How can I prevent this from happening?

My other issue is that occasionally my computer will restart (updates, power outage, whatever reason ...), so I have Blue Iris launching as part of the startup. However, it never launches due to Windows 7 security feature - the whole "do you want to allow" thing. Is there a way to add an exception to this just for Blue Iris? I don't really want to turn off this security feature entirely.
