Vertical tilt foscam fi9926p ptz camera Question

My question is more on the engineering/hardware side of the camera. I want more vertical tilt, the fi9926p is great for panning and looking down but I need to look more vertically.

So two questions;

1. Aside from the aesthetic problem, has anyone propped up the base to get a more vertical view?
2. Is there a way to remove internal stop that limits its vertical rise?

I'd be interested in hearing any thoughts..
