I have received a new a IP2M-841B-V3 (manufactured 2019-12 in Mexico) , that I have updated to the latest firmware (V2.800.00AC001.0.R, Build Date: 2021-03-31).
I am only using the Web UI to the cam and I got a few questions:
1. When I want to change from Wire to Wireless while configuring Network I always get an error: "Null not allowed". See image.
I haven't had this problem with the firmware, that was installed when I received the cam (V2.800.0000000.1.R, Build Date: 2019-09-27).
(Somehow I finally got over this annoying error but I can’t tell, what exactly helped.)
2. What is the Sub Stream good for? Can it be disabled w/o any disadvantage?
3. Under System/General/Video Standard I can only select NTSC. No PAL available. Same is true for language. Only English is offered. The manual says otherwise.
4. I ftp videos to my NAS. For every event there is a .mp4 and a .idx file. What is the .idx file good for and can it be omitted?
5. Can someone explain the format of the funny filenames like:
14.02.04-14.03.09[M][0@0][0].mp4
14.02.04-14.03.09[M][0@0][0].idx
6. What are the recommended video settings for Encode Mode, Smart Codec, Bit Rate Type, Max. Bitrate?
7. The tilt function sometimes gets stuck and the angle range seems to vary. Known mechanical problem?
Any partial answers are appreciated.
