We are currently running an i7-2600K CPU @3.4G / Win7-64 Bit / 8GB RAM
26 cams at 10fps /direct to disk / load is approx. 55%

We consider upgrading the system (only running BlueIris).
Question is what CPU (4790K/5820K) would better suitable for BlueIris (clock speed versus multi core; DD3/DDR4)?:
http://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Intel-Core-i7-5820K-vs-Intel-Core-i7-4790K/2579vs2384

Would the difference be significant?
Your thoughts would be highly appreciated.

I think the biggest advantage of the LGA2011-v3 architecture is having more PCI lanes to the processor, which you don't really need for dedicated machine. I'd be interested to know how the 6/12 core slower clock speed compares to the 4/8 core higher clock. If you have a MicroCenter nearby, it would be an easy choice to go with the 4790k at this point. The DDR4 and 2011 motherboards are pricey. I don't think it's worth the upgrade from a 2600k. Let us know how it works out.
