Getting the hang of it

When attempting to open the admin program after upgrade, I am being prompted for Blur Iris User and password. I don’t ever remember seeing this before and have no idea what either were.

Thoughts on how to reset or fix this somehow?

If you are running BI as a service then disable it within settings, close BI, then start BI again, then enable it as a service. It should then prompt you for a username and password, enter the same credentials as those you used to logon to the PC.

I stopped the service, changed it to manual start, rebooted PC clicked on Blue Iris 5 icon, get prompt for “Blue Iris User” User: and Password:

Entered the Windows userid and password that I had just used to log into PC.

No luck. Just keeps coming back to exact same Blue Iris Login window.

Seems as if trying to log in STARTS the service, but dies not open the admin program (view and manage everything)

iPhone app works fine, just can’t open the application on the PC.

It is asking you for your blue iris user and password.

#1, thanks! #2, for someone as stupid as me that “might” have forgotten what the userid / pw was..... is there a solution?

Do you not remotely access blue iris with the app or webserver? That is the same password. If you never set a local_console password, it is blank.
You can also try this by bp2008 Local Console Login?
or you can download a prior version of blue from the forum tools section.

Thanks so much. You power users are a Godsend to us casual users!
Registry import fixed my issue.
Thanks again.

I would downgrade to 5.2.6.5. The latest versions have issues. He is adding some very powerful and useful substream functions but they will have some growing pains.
