Upgrade to New Server, Redo from Scratch

I just wanted to do a quick check on the process for upgrading to a new server. I'm changing some cameras and want to change a bunch of other settings, so for my 7 camera setup I'll just start over instead of trying to save everything (which is addressed in other threads).
As I understand it, the steps I need to follow are these:

• Make sure my support is up-to-date, and purchase new support package if needed;
• If extended support is purchased, make sure it is extended on existing server;
• Deactivate BI on old server (then wipe that drive);
• Install latest BI on new server;
• Activate BI on new server using BI4 license key; and finally
• Proceed with manual setup of cameras and other settings.

Is that about it? I don't do this very often, and the steps I used previously are a little hazy in my remembery. In particular, do I need to extend support before I deactivate the current installation (which is a rather older version of BI5)?
