Updated PC to Windows 10

I had BI v4 running on my Windows 7 PC for 3 years. Today I upgraded from Win7 to Win 10 and BI will not open. I have tried to put my licence key back into the software but the box is grayed out and will not take it. Thanks in advance for any help you could provide. -Tom
 
Which box is grayed out? Can you screenshot?

1) Windows Key + Shift + S. Screen should darken.
2) Drag a box over the area to screenshot. This copies a screenshot of the area to the clipboard.
3) Paste into forum post
 
When I put the licence key in the box, the 'next button' is still grayed out

That would indicate your key entry is invalid. Something could be missing from the key or you may have typo'd it.

If you can't find the original license key in your email or wherever, then see if you still have any backup registry files from before the Windows upgrade (Blue Iris may have saved some for you automatically, but they get quickly overwritten). If so, restore it, then you should be able to retrieve your full key using BiUpdateHelper
 
Thanks I've got the original email in front of me with the key on it. I've typed it exactly as on the email, I'll try without the dashed.
 
Also if you purchased an extended support key, that is the wrong key to enter -- you need the original license key.
