Hi, new here so hello! And thanks for having me,. Anyway I have an issue, and I am hoping someone here might be able to give some insight. And or if anyone out there is working within the public schools , in my case specifically NSW.
Now iv noticed a lot of threads about static dropping to dhcp, but my issue is a bit different..
The school IT require all ports on all devices to be setup with DHCP enabled, and also have to be on the client network,
Which then leases a specific address that I manually add to the NVR using the adress and PW, works fine no worries, double check camera, yep all good DHCP still enabled cool.
The issue I am facing is the that the cameras each week(7days) are reverting to static IP, as in dhcp turns off, and as the client network won’t pass anything that isn’t DHCP enabled, I have to go around to each switch, locate and patch each camera to a seperate Poe, GUI into the device, re enable the dhcp the plug it back into the clients network. Lo and behold back online at the UNV recorder, for a week, =( then goes back eurgh!!
UNV cams, UNV recorder, all brand new fresh install. Two sites doing same thing, one site 23 cams other site has 28. Same setup at each where cams are required to be assigned ports on the clients network, via the client poe (arubas)
I am hoping someone out there has had to deal with a similar thing as it is a first for me, any help would be massively appreciated as the contractor is fed up and so am I tbh. Thanks fellas -max
