I have a collection of cameras and have set the ones indoors to give alerts and the ones outdoors should not give an alert, however I am still getting frequent Blue Iris "Home status alert" s from the outdoor cameras which are set to never give alerts

Any idea how to stop them, they often come at night and wake me up.

Alerts are set to never on the Blue Iris pc settings and also on the mobile app so cant understand why I still get them.

One says:

Home Staus Alert
Drive: Triggered : Motion_A

Drive is the name of a camera and its usually this one giveing the unwanted alerts, but I also get some which say:-

Home Staus Alert
New: Delete: nothing to do
(29/30GB, 328 GB free )

New is the name of a folder I am using.

Any tips welcome :)

I have a simple set up with 2 profiles. Profile 1, Im out - all cameras are set to motion record and indoor cameras are set to alert. Profile 2 is I am home, indoor cameras do not record, outdoor cameras are set to motion record but no cameras are set to alert.

I have checked that the settings are correct for each camera and each profile so not sure where the issue can lie

Has it been like this since day one or did you do an update and now it is causing this?

Try deleting the most problematic camera and adding from scratch and see if that resolves it.

Its had the same sort of set up for many years. I did move some cameras around recently but not the one giving most or all of the unwanted alerts. I only noticed recently because I was woken up by several alerts at night when I was not at home. When Im at home Im less likley to notice and so Im not sure when the problem started. The program is updated regualrly and currently on 5.9.9.34 x64

I will try removing and adding the problematic camera. Thanks for your help

I've found a setting which fixes the problem. On the main BI control panel in the bottom right corner there are some symbols for alerts, errors and other status stuff. Double click that brings up a status panel. At the top there are tabs , the one for log has a button marked status alerts form there you can set status alerts. It seems somehow I was having status alerts as push notifications which I have now deleted, Its configured through the action set button. Ive now chosen which status alerts and have them sent by email to an account which does not make noises at night on my watch. Everything else is set so if something moves in my house every option available is set to wake me up - push notifications, multiple noisy emails and pushover. It works great but I have really learnt to hate spiders ;o)
