Hello:
I am looking for help and recommendations for using older security cameras (cheap for my grand kids) such as the ones found on Temu. I bought a Teruhal Smart Camera model TC55 for $8 (sold out on TEMU) and it uses ICAM365 app to work. It has to scan a QR code using the ICAM365 to start, which isn’t desirable. Information such as MAC address or IP information isn’t on the device. I checked their web site and tried to download the PC version of the app which doesn’t work. I then realized, these companies go out of business or change apps which can leave one just SOL.

Buying the cameras for my kids to play with still seems like a good buy. Cheap is the attraction. So far, my grand kids love it and like to watch the birds. The ICAM365 app claims to have the ability to be viewed by connecting to third party software using a combination of ONVIF (?), static IP address, and the third party software I tried is ISPY. I can’t figure out the configs needed. ISPY works great with my usb camera but I can’t figure out how to view the TEMU camera with ISPY. For clarification, the TEMU cam does work with the ICAM365 app on the android phone. I plan to try buying a different TEMU special again but I am wondering what information I need know so I can use software such as ISPY. I like ISPY because it allows for viewing and saving to the PC hard drive. When the kids com over, I can show them any new birds or deer even.

Thanks for any help you can offer.

there's an icam365 app for windows too. otherwise i have 2 taishixing t2q cameras here, they also use this app, but i cant get it working with anything else. port 554 seems to be open, ODM detects them, but not images are visible.

Want cheap? RTSP stream to iSpy, Blue Iris, VLC or ONVIF Device Manager? No cloud required?

Look at the $16 TP-LINK Tapo C-110. Has 2 way audio (with the Tapo app, mic operation only to BI or VLC), is Wi-Fi only, has IR, 2K video, SD card storage, works with Google Home and Alexa, comes with 9VDC UL-listed wall wart. I have 2 in service for 2 years now with Blue Iris, one watching car in garage, one watching dogs. A recent firmware update (shipping now) allows a static LAN IP instead of the original default of DHCP only.

I've spent almost that much for 1 person at a fast food restaurant.

EDIT 3/2 @ 0732 CDT: @Valwit , also available in Ireland on amazon.com for 15 Euros here.

if you just want to view the camera, you can find it's IP on your router, you can view it's feed in VLC media player by going to Media > Open network stream > rtsp:/(it's local ip):554/video for testing

the one issue is you can't seem to control it's rotation or anything else without knowing the default username or password. i've had a look at some github repositories that allow you to run a shell script on it using an sd card pretty much allowing you to telnet into it and update the root password and username, but i can't seem to get any of the methods working. if i do i'll post an update
