I am upgrading BI from my little windows 7 laptop to an i7 windows 8 desktop. I have lots of stored clips, 14 cameras, etc etc set up on my laptop. Is there an easy way to transfer ALL of the BI data, saved clips and everything to my new computer?

I don't know about the clips but I just transferred my licensed BI to another PC. It was very simple. First, backup/export your settings (I think it is on the settings menu/screen). Second, install the full BI on the new PC. Third, load a copy of the backup/export file (it has a ".reg" file extension) on the new PC. Fourth, double-click on the backup/export file. This will apply the registry settings to keep all your camera settings. As for the clips, my guess would be that so long as you duplicate the folders/sub-folders on the new PC, you can simply transfer copies of the clips there.
