Hello Everyone,

I need hep configuring a TP-Link Tapo C210 camera to Blue Iris. I am aware that some people have already succeeded getting video, but without PTZ control.

Could somebody share the settings I needed to configure this camera, even if PTZ is not working?

Oh god that sounds like a pain in the ass running Ispy and all that. I do not want to run through RTSP

OK, I got a TP-LINK Tapo C110 last week and have it streaming RTSP to Blue Iris 5 and also VLC. Not bad looking for a $25 wireless only, little cam with 2-way audio and selectable 720p/1080p/2K resolution.

As I stated in post 6, no iSpy needed. Here's how:

@Tavo95 , there's firmware update for older Tapo cameras that allow you to assign it a static IP instead of having to stay with DHCP which requires an IP reservation in your router. Here's how to do it:

FYI, there's a new firmware update for the TP-LINK Tapo C110 that might interest some of you. When I set up my first Tapo last year to work with Blue Iris the Tapo would use DHCP only for its IP and after the router assigned that IP I made a reservation in my router for it. However, Tapo firmware v1.3.14 allows you to set the Tapo for a static IP. I prefer being able to do that because I like my Blue Iris server, all my cameras and wireless access points, etc. to have a static IP starting at .200, my router's DHCP pool is from .2 to .199.

Update the firmware in the Tapo as follows: open...

New to the Tapo cams. Got it working with Blue Iris but the resolution is very low....640x360 reported in BI (and greyed out). In the app I have the camera (C211) set to 2K quality. Is there something I am missing?

Edit: disregard, I figured it out. Blue Iris connecting to the sub stream so I turned that off in the Blue Iris video configuration and all good now. Correctly reporting the 2K resolution.
