Time stamp causes motion alert

Hello all,

I've used BI for several years, but only recently did I learn of Direct To Disk recording. This has substantially reduced my CPU usage.

Due to the lack of time stamp on recordings, I turned the camera's time stamp on, however, this now causes motion alerts. If I turn motion down enough to not trigger with the time stamp, I miss other motion alerts.

Ideas?

Go into the Motion configuration and just mask off the area where the timestamp is.

I was trying to do that, but shortly after posting, I realized the masking was backwards to how I thought it worked. I think I've gotten it.
