I like this excerpt:

"Through interviews with Flex drivers, it became apparent that these marketed perks have hidden costs: drivers often have to compete for shifts, spend hours trying to get reimbursed for lost wages, pay for wear and tear on their vehicle, and have no control over where they work."​

With the exception of having to "pay for wear and tear on their vehicle", sounds like any other job (non-gig) to me. Are they trying to get the consumer to feel guilty about ordering from amazon who fuels Ring AND the Flex/gig workers?

No, it's all on amazon. And if you don't want to be a gig worker, then don't...no one is holding a gun to your head. The last time I checked, we still live in a free country....but you might not want to plan on that much longer....
