I have a spare 14TB and 10TB external HDD.
I was thinking of purchasing a 2-Bay NAS and shucking the HDD's into it. I'm not planning to run a RAID, and will instead utilize as much space as possible (~24 TB).
The NAS will be connecting to a switch along with 8 x cameras and a BI server.
The BI server will be running off a Nuc (dual LAN) - The reasoning for the Nuc is to minimize footprint and power.
Might be a little overkill, but from a performance POV, would there be any issues with the Nuc constantly writing to the NAS?
Alternatively, would plugging the external HDD via USB to the Nuc suffice?
