Hello everyone,

I have been trying to figure out how to reset my admin password for my spider SC-318P8-8 NVR.

The system came with the house I purchased but the previous owner never used the system and isn’t aware of the admin password. Is there anybody who knows of a way to manually reset the nvr?

ps. I have tried the basic codes 888888, 666666, admin, 000000, 123456 and several others with no success.
 
It's a Hikvision OEM Model
You might be able to use the SADP tool or the Hikvision password reset tool

So I contacted Hikvision to reset the password and they told me that the unit is not a Hikvision unit. Is there any other way to reset the unit?
 
CV-B8810-02 is identical model branded thru ClareVision the spider model looks to be Norelco but oem is hikvision ca it looks like DS-7608NI-SE(/N) not sure if that will help or not

Do I use wire shark to try and find the admin code ?
The problem is this was a system inherited when I purchased my house. The original owner doesn’t know the code.
 
I have still had no success resetting this NVR unit and my
Fear is if I replace the NVR will the cameras work or will those be locked also ?

does anyone have any other suggestions as to how I can reset the NVR?
