Hi I'm new to BI and I'm running the Demo for now.
I have a strange problem that when BI is open for a long time, the program just gets unresponsive or refuses to work until I restart Windows.
My setup:
BI: 5.7.7.18
Win Server 2022 VM
Intel Core i5-13500 6 cores 12 Threads Passthrough.
16Gb ram
C: Drive is SSD and Data drive is an HDD
GPU is a 1080ti also Passthrough.
4x RLC-810A
1x Reolink Duo 2

I'm using Code Project AI Server on the same VM.
I have enabled Large models.
Furthermore, I can't get the custom models to work. Its just empty.
Also, face recognition is not putting faces in the specified folder.
And on cams with sub-stream enabled if an alert is triggered, it takes forever to switch to high-res?
Also, I got me an echo show, but to connect to Amazon Echo button is not working?

If more info is required, please let me know.
Thanks in advance.

This isn't the cause of the computer getting unresponsive, but BI and Reolinks don't work together. Lot's of threads here demonstrating that. The way Reolink plays with parameters to favor a bright image is why it takes forever to switch from sub to main stream.

What is the KEY number in the BI camera status page like this one. A key of 0.10 means if an object is in and out of the field of view in under 10 seconds, BI might not trigger for motion. And that also can impact how quickly it switches to mainstream.

You need to confirm your KEY value is 1.00 but no less than 0.50. If it is less than 0.5 that is the problem.

Thanks for the fast reply.
I did hear that and there is a video on YT that says that reolink that fix that with a firmware update.
I have set the key frame for all cams to one. I can set it higher like 2 or even 4, but I'm not sure.
But with laggy i mean the whole interface, even the settings are slow.

Are the cameras going thru a router or are they isolated via VLAN or dual NIC?

That doesn't mean that they are not going thru the router.

Are the cameras and BI computer connected to same switch?

Draw out a network topology diagram with IP addresses of the LAN side so we can see and confirm what is going on.

You can list the private LAN IP addresses as it does not tell anyone anything - they are the same as everyone else. The IP address of your service provider for your WAN is what you don't provide...Everything on the inside past the modem is fine to put out. Everything on the inside, the local will fall under these ranges and you are not telling anyone anything about how to hack your system providing these ranges (basically any IP that starts out 10. or 172. or 192. are reserved for the "home side" of the service so every home internally will be within this same range):

10.0.0.0 – 10.255.255.255
172.16.0.0 – 172.31.255.255
192.168.0.0 – 192.168.255.255

Keeping cameras from being able to talk to the internet is a good thing.

Some routers do crazy things and people have seen BI lose cameras if their router was unplugged or went wonky even though their cameras were not going thru router but were on same IP subnet.

Unplug your router and see if the condition improves.

Is he running Bi in a Virtual machine right?
Maybe there is some lag because of that.

I did not disable my router for now because the internet is needed almost 24/7(I will separate the Cams from the rest of the LAN soon). And it seems to run without lags until now. But also i was not using the UI only Web to watch the streams.
Also, i notice my setup needs almost 300W what GPUs are you using or are you using AI with CPU?
I can't get the custom models to work. Its just empty. Is that normal?
And why is the Amazon Function not working?
