Good Morning all!

First, after being away for a few years due to a parent illness, I recently have time to fine tune my setup: NVR-5216-16P-4KS2E, IPC-B5442E-Z4E, IPC-B5442E-ZE, IPC-T5442TM-AS totaling 16 cameras; 24 hour recording.

A big thank you to bigredfish for helping me understand tripwires vs MD, where to make changes i.e. NVR web interface vs directly on the camera using its web interface, etc.

For tripwire, when I have it set to bi-directional, the line flashes multicolors when something crosses it. :thumb:

This morning, I changed the setting from bi-directional to one direction on two separate cams. Since then, both tripwires do not flash at all. Is this expected?

More specifically, the tripwire is still being triggered, still being recorded when triggered, still sending me DMSS alerts when triggered. It's just not flashing the multi-color lights.

Being able to see the multi-color lights helps me make sure the tripwires are triggered consistently on Live View and lets me gage if I need to move my tripwire lines during my testing phase.

I can always go back to bi-directional, its just I was getting more alerts.

Thanks in advance.

Are you talking about the red/blue lights on the camera? Or the IVS line flashing red on the screen?

No there's no difference, if you setup the rule right it should react the same

I'm talking about the blue IVS line (the one that shows the arrow and says rule1) flashing red on the screen.

The red/blue lights on the camera..... I'm not sure where to find those lights.

I would check your rule and make sure its directional the way you intended
