I'm going to replace them with hikvision 2387 models to match the other two i have. They're probably around 5 years old.

Would that make any difference on the camera? It’s still there powered up, I would think that should only matter for the SD card if there was one in it

Agreed, plus this particular model is a workhorse and runs 24/7 without breaking a sweat.

I just didn’t know if there was a life expectancy out of cameras? I understand they’re electronic devices and can fail at any point.
