The plates I was issued have the letter "O" on the front and the rear has a number "0"...hahahahha

Actually, the "N" looks narrower on the back.
Is it possible that they squish the font on the back plates? What about the other numbers/letters?

Thats quite plausible. The format of the plates are XX 11 XX. If the plates differ in size it probably a case of a compressed fonts.
I assumed OpenALPR was getting it wrong until i took a closer look at the plates.
The plates have been re-issued recently. I"m sure I have pics of the old plates around to compare them with. Will post results later.
