Snow accumulation on the front element (Hikvision IP Bullet Camera)

Any idea how to handle with this issue? Snow tends to accumulate on the front plastic ring element even in light snowfall.
Should a try with a water repellent coating or it may damage the glass?

There are models with built in heater. What u can do is make improvisation and make small heater that works on 12 volts and put inside the camera case. Preferably with temp sensor, so it doesnt work over summer.
