Guy doing the talking lives off camera to the right about 400 feet. I have no idea where he is going at 3:00 am "to get a bite to eat." There may be a gas station open almost a mile down the road.

How's the math look? 25 minutes between sightings, and he's on his way to get food. So maybe 7 minutes in the store, leaving 18 minutes walking. 9 minutes each way, with an adult male usually doing 5km/hr on level ground.

So 9/60*5 = 0.75km, or ~ half a mile.

A little research, and talking to a neighbor with cameras, figured out which house he went to. Known party location. It was only 1,000 feet away. And no, the neighbors cameras are not that good, but could tell direction and audio.
