Smart PSS upgrade results in a camera loss in gDMSS Live View?

All,

So today I upgraded my Smart PSS s/w from 1.13.0 to 1.14.2
I wanted Smart PSS to support IVS to a level like the NVR UI, and the browser UI. Smart PSS wasn't supporting IVS, instead, it only supported Regular, Motion, and Alarm. But that's beside the point.

After I installed Smart PSS 1.14.2, I found that my android gDMSS app could NOT display Live Video from my WiFi camera (which never had IVS capability)

Yesterday, gDMSS worked fine with the WiFi bullet. Today, I just get the rotating circle icon. No error message, just the swirling circle.

Current:
- The WiFi cam live video appears in a) Smart PSS and b) the web ui to the NVR. But not in gDMSS
- All other cams continue to work the same.

My thoughts:
a) Roll back Smart PSS on my laptop to 1.13.0 (note: I'm not using PC-NVR)
b) Look into upgrading the cam f/w, to remove (possible) incompatibilities between early cam f/w and the latest Smart PSS s/w version 1.14.2

Questions:
1) Why can't gDMSS on my android display video from my WiFi bullet cam?
2) What relationship exists between a) Smart PSS s/w on my laptop and b) the camera f/w version? ie: Or is this a Red Herring?
. 2.1) Could a Smart PSS upgrade affect camera Live View?
