Hi, I am going to install a Dahua 5442 camera to keep an eye on my side service entry door on my garage. I have a 3.6 and a 6mm camera to choose from. The door is about 18 ft from the camera location. These pics are shown with the camera heigh at approximately 10 ft from where the subject is standing, although I am going to lower the height closer to 8 ft. This is my second security system I'm installing, but it's been at least 8 years since the last one so I'm trying to relearn things again. Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks.

6mm.

If the main purpose of the camera is to watch where the person is standing then you will want to make sure and physically rotate it 90* and then adjust the picture back to normal in the GUI. This will prevent you from throwing too much IR at the side of the house, but allow you to keep the FOV and focus where you want it.

The turret has 2 IR under the lens and the bullet has 4 IR - 2 above and 2 below the lens.
