Sensor for outdoor AC compressor?

Hello - I have two 3 ton units that I want to wire into my Vista 20p. Any suggestions?

I have mine connected to a ElkM1G. Used a spare pair of wires in the thermostat wire connection and just connected them together inside the compressor unit across a EOL resistor.

Idea is to connect this to a zone of the Alarm panel set for normally closed and if any body cuts the wire or attempts to steal the unit it will alarm.
