Hello all ,

I installed this camera from Dahua , has 8x optical zoom. I would like to make some presets for zoom. Other Dahua cameras with PTZ , I have an option on the Camera software to save and name presets , which are copied by Blue iris.
I can't find anything like that on this camera . Anyone has an idea? or are presets not possible with a "zoom only" camera?

Since it's not a "PTZ" but instead is termed a "varifocal" camera, you're supposed to set the desired (observed) focal length by zooming in or out and then leaving it there. Occasional corrections are OK but it's not meant to be zoomed in/out with the frequency of a PTZ camera designed with that ability.

That's likely why saved and named presets are not offered in the camera software for such a varifocal camera.

If you plan to do quite a bit of zooming in and out then yes...a PTZ would be better for your use than a vari-focal camera.
