Hi all ,
After much research I finally bought a decent HIK setup for home (have installed for friends already).

I purchased both the below cameras in 2.8mm guise. They both allegedly (according to spec sheets) have the same sensor and the same field of vision. However in reality the mini bullet has a much smaller FOV.

DS-2CD2045FWD-I - Hangzhou Hikvision Digital Technology Co. Ltd.
DS-2CD2345FWD-I - Hangzhou Hikvision Digital Technology Co. Ltd.
2.8 mm, horizontal FOV: 109°, vertical FOV: 60°, diagonal FOV: 131°

Can anybody please suggest why?

Thanks.

This image shows the difference. Top right camera has less field of vision compared to bottom left. Thanks

They make them with different lenses, are you sure you did not get the bullet with a 4mm lens?

Thanks for replying. I had that fear so immediately checked the order, the box and also the label on the cameras. They all say 2.8mm.
I'd swear the mini bullet is actually 4mm but I'm not really an expert so wondered if there was another explanation.

I bought them on ebay but they are in white boxes and don't have Chinese writing on them.
