I have more cameras on the way and will likely be above the 16 channels of the NVR5216-16P-4KS2E with the additional cameras. I have the Lorex NVR which works fine for the older style camera GUI's. Can and/or should I run the Lorex in conjunction with the Dahua NVR to get a maximum of 32 channels?

From what I can gather, running 2 separate NVRs, each would have 2 drives with a max of 20TB each and each NVR has a max bandwidth of 320 MBPS, theoretically giving twice the bandwidth as a single 32 channel NVR?

I guess the only potential issue that I can think of would be managing both NVRs via computer or phone remotely, since each has different software and apps for PC and smart phone monitoring

Any thoughts?

I have 2 Dahua NVRs and it’s simple. Just a 2nd profile in DMSS and SmartPSS

Access remotely via a vpn and navigate to either NVR

You shouldn't have any issues with multiple NVRs. Just go into DMSS and SmartPSS and either add it in using IP address or by serial number. While it is two different devices you can make a custom layout for viewing cameras from different units.
