I am using CPAI the most recent version. I had a car drive by to the right and BI triggered and a got the car icon with the alert, within a few seconds a person walked in front from the left. I did not get an alert. How can i set BI under these circumstances so I get an alert, especially on a person?

Under motion use the "New zones/sources only (additive)" option to generate multiple triggers.

Use the "New zones/sources only (exclusive)" option if you want the first trigger to be the only trigger. Just keep in mind there could be instances that the motion re-trips it if the object lingers around the field of view.

Or you can make the event duration time really small.

@wittaj I don’t understand. It’s confusing language. In my particular example, I just want it to re-trigger to catch the person that’s walking by after the car had driven by triggering to camera.

So you want additive so that it triggers for a person that walks by while the camera is still in a triggered state from a vehicle. Or make the event time really small like those of us doing LPR so we catch that back to back car situation, which would be similar to your example.

I was calling it event time, but it is actually break time. Older versions would allow 0.1 seconds, but newer versions minimum is 1.0 seconds. But the additive should still capture it.
