Which model is the nearest equivilant to the DS-2CD2032-1, I have 2 of these and need to add a third but not sure if it is the 35 or the 42 which replaces the 32 which doesn't seem to be available now. Also, if its allowed, where to buy from (UK btw)?

Not sure why you're not able to find the 2032, as I've not heard of it being discontinued...There's also a 2032F-I which is the most similar (adds micro sd card slot and a slightly different feel, but other internals are apparently the same)..
Looks like most shops are offering the ds-2cd2035-i as a replacement for the 32, whats the difference?
If I'm not mistaken, I think the 35 version offers H.265 compression whereas the 32 was H.264...At least I seem to recall reading that somewhere in the past. May want to confirm that before making any purchase.
Thanks, I've just bought a 35 from eebey (60quid China). Yes, it looks like its just the H.265 difference, which I'm sure will be compatible with synology surveillance station. I believe you can switch it to H.264 as well if needed.
