Red Tail Hawk on a security camera

Pickins' must be pretty slim for him to be feeding on carrion and not live prey, I would think. :idk:

I thought the same thing. But, we have and abundance of rabbits, squirrels and mice. Maybe he was just lazy.
 
I think that like most things they're probably opportunistic and will conserve energy and take an easy meal where they find it.
