Recording

Hi Peeps,

My BI PC has a 256GB SSD and a 10TB HDD.

Would you recommend recording clips to the SSD and the continuous recording to the HDD? I am assuming then I would clone each camera to record to the SSD?

Record continuous to the HDD. Alerts are just bookmarks to a spot in the recording. My alerts folder is empty, it only gets populated if on the record tab you check the box for 'store alerts as hi-res files'

O/S, BI program & BI db on the SSD, BI video clips on surveillance-rated HDD.

Specifically for your setup with 1 SSD and 1 HDD:
DB - SSD (C:\Blue Iris\db)
Alerts - SSD (C:\Blue Iris\Alerts)
New - HDD (D:\New or whatever your HDD is)
Stored - Don't use
