i inherited support of a IPCam CCTV, the original 12 cams and NVR that look to be purchased from alibaba as the part numbers and barcodes are non-existent on search engines. I found clones of the IP cams to be around $40 each. So i decide to replace the NVR because it had a faulty HDD. Installed a Dahua 4216 with 2 purple WDs. All the generic cams pickup on the Dahua search tool and working well, even passing thru pan commands.
Decided to add more cameras so i puchased (3) HIKVision DS-2CD3132. Dahua sees them. I can get into the HIK internal page to change settings. However Dahua wont register it to go further ADD and then display, Red X, on the status.
I tried changing http Port, 80, the ONVIF type to Private...
Anyone have any luck with a working configuration with HIK and Dahua?
According to the vendor this HIK is multi language, etc..
